Chopta Tungnath trek is one of the highlights of the circuit where the trek route surpasses the 1000+years old SHIVA TEMPLE. Sharp ascent and steep climb lead you to tungnath temple at 12000feet. Distance from chopta is 3-4 kms. Tungnath temple is difficult to reach during the winter due to considerable snowfall in the area. Trekking in chopta is a craze among the young trekkers. Chopta tungnath trek is short and quite easy trekking distance is 3.5-4km and it’s covered in 3 to 4 hours and its elevation is 3680metres from sea level. During the trek, you can enjoy the memorizing views of such beautiful temples as Chaukamba, Kedarnath, Nilkanth, Nanda Devi, and Panchchuli.
